Blind Colors 3rd Anniversary

  • Louie & Chan 303 Broome Street New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

Blind Colors is thrilled to celebrate its 3rd anniversary in the basement where it all started.
For the celebration we are gathering some of our favorite NY deep house music talents:
Christian Voldstad (Bespoke Musik)
Daniel Cowell (ZERO)
Carlos Antonorsi (Blind Colors NY)
Alongside the US premiere of Berlin based duo Stereo.type (Get Physical)!

Stereo.type, made up of two, George from the UK, Bry from Ireland, now based in Berlin since early 2016. After a successful stint in London where the boys honed their trademark quirky groovy sound at the monthly And.You party and released on Get Physical Music, the pair both decided to throw the cat amongst the pigeons and focus on their productions in the home of electronic music, Berlin.
With upcoming releases on Get Physical Music, including a self compiled Best of Get Physical compilation dropping on iTunes and a forthcoming release on Just Her’s up and coming Constant Circles record label it all appears to be falling into place musically for Stereo.type in 2017.
Behind the decks, Stereo.type’s DJ sets are full of energy and groove, fuelled by their innate ability to guide and make the crowd move. With recent sets at Watergate and Bier und Birgit they’ve certainly had the opportunity to demonstrate their skills at some of Berlin’s finest clubs.

***Christian Voldstad:
Christian acquired his love of electronic while growing up in the UK. It wasn’t until he moved to New York, however, that he would attend his first underground party and find the sound that would capture him and inspire him to step behind the decks himself. Since then, Christian has become a staple of the underground scene, a party enthusiast, and an avid techno tourist.
Most recently Christian has been playing across Brooklyn and Manhattan and as far away as Black Rock City, Amsterdam, Moscow and Peru.
His sophisticated taste in music earned him a residency for Bespoke Musik where he continues to explore his love of vinyl records, piano melodies and funky basslines.

***Daniel Cowel:
A true perfectionist, Daniel has traveled the world in search of the deepest roots of music and matched his geographical education with a deep study of the nature of the art, which is reflected in the breadth and integrity of his sets.

***Carlos Antonorsi:
After having fallen in love with electronic music when he was sixteen years old, Carlos got his hands on a pair of used turntables and mixer, started collecting records, and began learning how to mix them in his bedroom in Miami, where he spent his teenage years. He took a break from DJing to focus on his studies a couple years later, only to find himself catching the DJ bug once again, 5 years later, after having moved to New York. Since getting back behind the decks, his sets have straddled across genres, moving from downtempo, to deep house, to tech house and den techno. Regardless of genre, his sets are consistently engrained with organic influences - often reflecting his Mediterranean upbringing - always overflowing with melody and emotion, as he tries to transport everyone present to a different time and place.
